Mike Yantis, Jr. has served as President of Yantis Company and related entities since 2007 with his primary responsibility being supervision of Yantis Company’s Business Development, Building Management, Finance, Information Technology, Legal, and Safety departments. In addition Mike is the principal in charge of the Estimating department and is the final reviewer of all Yantis Company proposals before submittal. Yantis Company’s estimating department annually submits over 200 bid proposals ranging from $100,000 to $30 million in scope. Together with cousin Blake Yantis and brother Matthew Yantis, Mike directs the day to day management of the entire company. From 2002 to 2007, Mike worked as the Vice President of Operations for the company. While working in Operations, Mike was responsible for the management of over 200 projects, $450 million dollars of contracts, and over 550 employees. Since taking over management of Operations and Administration with his cousin, the company has grown by almost 200% and has added over 400 employees.
Mike’s experience stretches across a wide range of projects for all clients. Some of the more notable projects Mike has been involved with include Alamo Ranch, Grandview, and the Westover Hills Development. At Alamo Ranch, Mike was responsible for the negotiation of over $40 million dollars worth of infrastructure work with Pulte Homes and managed a team that built the project 3 months ahead of the projected schedule. Also during his tenure at Yantis Company, Mike has helped recruit and managed the relationship of clients such as Centex Homes, DE Harvey Builders, Gordon Hartman Enterprises, KB Home, among many others.
Mike has accepted awards for Yantis including the Aggie 100 and the Inc. 5000 for Yantis Company’s growth since 2002. In 2007, Mike was also named by the San Antonio Business Journal as one of the “40 under 40 Rising Stars.”
