Tom Yantis has worked in various capacities at Yantis Company since 1978. As Co-Chairman,
Tom concentrates his effort on strategic management, estimating quality control,
and business development.
Tom and Mike Yantis took over general management of Yantis
Company from their father, John Yantis, in the early 1980’s. Under Tom and Mike’s
leadership, Yantis built many of the relationships and processes that the company
still utilizes. The company also grew over 300% from 1982 to 2003.
Tom has been
involved in prestigious projects across San Antonio and South Texas including the
Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Mountain Lodge, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
Tom is
very involved in the San Antonio community. He serves on the Frost National Bank
Advisory Board and as a director for the Transplants for Children charity organization.
Tom has received numerous awards for his leadership in the business community. In
1994, Tom was named one of the “Five Outstanding Young Texans.” Tom has also more
recently been named as one of the Northside School District’s pillars. Other recipients
of this honor include Senator John Cornyn.
