Yantis Commercial Operations contracted with Gerace Construction to perform the
turn-key site work construction for the new FedEx Ground Transport location on San
Antonio’s west side.
Yantis Company was tasked with delivering the massive building pad within 4 weeks
of starting construction. The pad contained over 15,000 cubic yards of excavation
and then required over 110,000 tons of flexible base to be hauled into the job.
Yantis Company covered the schedule by working 7 days a week and averaged over 8,000
tons of base being hauled into the job daily.
Since pad completion, Yantis has gone on to work on all the wet utilities, drainage construction, asphalt paving, retaining wall construction and concrete paving on
the project.
