In September 2014, Yantis Company was awarded a $12.3 million dollar mass grading and utilities contract for Dollar Generalâs new distribution center. Located just south of IH-10 on Foster Road, the site spans over 100 acres. The project was designed by Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam (LAN). Yantis is working directly for Dollar General on this project.
Yantisâ contract includes: 370,000 cy of excavation; over 496,000 cy of embankment; 275,000 cy of cement treated pad; 210,000 sy of 12â cement treated subgrade. Yantis is currently installing over 30,000 lf of storm drain, sewer, and water pipe as well as the dry electric package.
The construction of the 1 million square foot pad began 9/2/14 and was completed on 12/5/14, 10 days ahead of schedule with 12 days of rain delay.
